Royal blood runs down over his face and beard,
Flowing from his head to the collar of mocking scarlet robe;
This coronation pressed with crown of nature’s ancient curse Holding a staff of comfort, the Shepherd King stands,
ushering unity against the cries of enveiled truth;
Exalted in humility. Beaten. Led away to death. The weight of splintering wood too great to bear alone,
The force of cruel metal against flesh too great to resist,
The call, the beauty still to come; too g
Whole life dark
Whole life empty
Whole life ostracised; pushed to the side.
Ignored, silenced, shut up, shut out. Shout out,
Loud, and louder still, “Mercy”
He hears me.
And light streams, shapes dance, colours burst
as shadows fall around,
And life streams, hopes dance, futures burst
as failure. Disappointment. Rejection. Isolation. Hate. Poverty. Pain. And darkness fall around. Whole life bright
Whole life full
Whole life magnified
The sorrow words;
These pain-filled words.
Hear now the sound that will never end or be overcome.
Dare you hear? The bitter cup;
This joyful cup.
Drink from the well that will never dry or be diminished.
Dare you drink? The death soaked ground;
This holy ground.
Stand in the truth that will never fail or be corrupted.
Dare you stand? Listen,
consume, remain. #matthew20 #christianpoem #dareyoudrinkthecup #amothe
I am encumbered thread
While tailor’s pattern waits
My life chalked out ahead
But I am olfend. I am tangled at the gates. This ‘all’ is not made to cast,
Embroidered, knotted strands.
Break me off. Make me last
in cross stitch life. I. I am in your hands. #matthew19 #christianpoetry #camelgate #POETRY #eyeofaneedle #camel #richman
We run to him,
‘cause thatz wot we do
he runs with us! We LOL with him,
‘cause he’s sooo funny
he laughs with us! We sit with him,
‘cause he say’s, “come”, and scoopz us up in his arms and smiles
he sits with us! And they try to stop us
The “grown-ups’, with all their stuffy stuffiness,
“Don’t run, be quiet, stand straight, behave” But they’re missing out.
‘Cause he loves to run, and laugh, and lay on the grass looking up at the clouds. “Dino-sore” he shouts
“Sorry” seems to be the hardest orientation of the soul; at least it seems to me.
The letters fall so easy,
The sound of them echo continually,
The need of them remains, reverberates in our shared ecology.
Oh, unrepentant soul. Soul; with thick covering of shame,
That death shroud of arrogant, prideful pain.
Denial’s wall built high again;
As hope lies dead in the flowerless field of war; petals surrendered only thorns remain.
Oh, Come on my soul. Empty words, cease; let the
The deep love of father for son;
Consumes in legacy-founding hope.
It carries me and forces surrender in bow of desperate mercy’s cry,
For wholeness. For wellness, fullness, future.
Like nothing else that love twists to despair and stabs at my heart and mind and flesh.
Still I come to ‘The Son’. I wait and watch; He echoes my cry.
His compassion soars as he abandons Himself,
Denys Himself for our wholeness. Our wellness, fullness, future.
Like no-one else he endured t
Fall; face down fear.
Fingers planted, gripping mountain top.
Holding to life.
Eye’s blown by light; blinding mystery. Fighting for breath.
Truth and hist’ry: descend to listen.
Shining sun bright; speaking peace to me. A moment passed.
Voice of power, heard and understood?
It will be known.
Still holding on to see that beauty To know that joy
To feel that warmth, again burning bright
To be assured:
I saw and fell. And still I arise. #christianp
Now only red when you blink.
Eyes, tight open, refuse the sorrow fields of vermilion ink.
Your crimson robes engulf; shroud life, subdue all hope foretold.
Blood will flow and still; still all you’ll see is gold. Pour your burgundy oblations; they flow greyscale dry.
Your words cut through to death, yet you refuse to die.
So in your night they will remain,
Till death follows death to scarlet death flame And silence. Or, let your eyes cry; burn
HAVE MERCY!” Nothing: not a word and all I need is one.
They crowd him with muttering, staring but I will not be silenced,
Have mercy!” Silence: followed by some crap about mercy not being for me
and my soul roars.
I cry louder and deeper and longer,
“Have. Mercy.” “Not for me!?!
I’ll show you not for me,
Mercy, I need just one word, one breath, one crumb from their laden table of obeisant religious pride.

I came as I was and I brought what I had,
I heard who he was and I saw what he had,
I loved who he was; took every word to my heart
And he loved me right back – he always did; from the start.
He saw all I was and loved me the same,
Received all I had … and in that I became. He turned my simple, my shame; to a blessing,
Transformed my meagre to majesty,
Insufficiency to abundance,
My doubt to a party,
My sin to a symphony of praise.
And, all I had been didn’t matter,
Cross sea of grief to reach compassion shore,
Carried by death’s wave, he breaks with silent roar.
She danced for life; beauty twisted to become dark night,
Weakness blade fell to pride and fear and fight.
Still, healing and hope flood from mist of mourning shroud,
Welcoming through private tears; welcoming the crowd. #seaofgrief #christian #johnthebaptist #POETRY #feedingthe5000 #matthew14
Home The place you feel most safe perhaps? For sure the place you feel most trapped. Known for who you grew up to be, But the child you were is all they see. Your own town cannot forget. Your own home cannot accept. Forever the child of your dad and mum. Offended. No faith for who you have become. #christianpoetry #growup #hometownprophet #christian #home #POETRY #reboot #Matthew13 #bible
Open your eyes and see,
Ears wide open; hear me.
And oh what you’ve already seen
What you’ve already heard, already been. Now hear this and see,
Good soil, good seed. See truth, hear true, know it a be known by it,
Understand as you walk along life’s path. Let truth become your rock of joy,
Be rooted, planted, secure. And do not let your heart be overcome;
overgrown with trouble. Good soil, good seed.
Multiplied. #goodseed #th

Do not be afraid;
Dark fears light.
Do not be restrained;
Light has dawned.
Not hindered not hidden.
So, shine. Man may kill you now,
Still you’ll live.
Fear not, shaken not, broken and bruised but not overcome.
For I have come.
So, Shine Peace, ha!
Not for them.
Not for them that should know.
Not for them who twist and stab and cling to show.
Light has dawned.
A decisive sword in their divisive hearts Be the light. A simple cup.
A gentle hand.
Caught and delighted in His wake
Invited to compassion’s ache
Voice found, life abounds
Every sickness, every disease
Still multitudes more came. Didn’t know when he said, “pray for more”
Didn’t know we’d be ‘the more’
On us anointing he would pour
Would give us voice; would give the roar
To cast out more
Cast out impure
To heal and raise and to restore.
Life and liberty to the poor

If he is not here – fast:
Weep, mourn, tear your clothes, shout and gnash and burn
Be shrouded in sackcloth and anointed with ash. Oh, see you’re loved and turn.
Till then, flood your eyes till they are empty sore,
Abandon hope of rest, of peace of anything anymore.
Go on and silence you voice through desperation screams of, “I”
Let distortion rage and rule and reign and crush you as you cry.
The lack of him so great. But he is here – see:
